Discover the Real You
A vast expanse of natural beauty, infinite shades of green stretching far into the distance. This awe-inspiring image evokes tranquility, hope, a new dawn. The far reaching view gives you the sense that life has no limits.
I deeply believe that psychotherapy can help you establish a clear vision of what you want from life, anchored in who you really are.
I would feel proud and privileged to help you on that journey.
My psychotherapy practice is located in a private space at my residence by the woods in Bougival, West Paris.
"Only when one feels an insight in one’s bones does one own it.
Only then can one act on it and change.”
Irvin Yalom, Author & Psychotherapist
A Bit About Psychotherapy
Gestalt Therapy - The Art of Contact
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among patients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behaviour and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
A Happier, Healthier You
In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behaviour. I will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. I’m confident you’ll find my personalised Individual Therapy beneficial and inspirational.
A return to respect, affection and love
Admitting that things are not perfect in your partnership is often tough to do and scary to admit. Often, the idea of seeing a marriage or couples therapist sits on the back burner, with one or both parties thinking that it may be a good idea, but also feeling unsure of how to proceed — and of whether their specific problems can really be helped.
Perhaps trust has been broken, arguments are getting more frequent, communication is poor, or something simply feels wrong but you’re not sure what or why. The arrival of children or the influence of the extended family can have a significant impact on the harmony of the couple. Gestalt therapy can help to recreate shared meaning, transforming misunderstanding into opportunities for mutual growth, so as to reestablish respect, affection and love within a relationship.
Bringing meaning to your life
Existential psychotherapy confronts life’s "ultimate concerns”. formulated by Irvin Yalom His theory and approach to practice is grounded in the understanding that all human beings face four ultimate existential concerns – freedom, isolation, meaningless and death. Existential therapy focuses on the anxiety that occurs when you confront these inherent conflicts, and my role as a therapist is to foster personal responsibility
Work Issues & Career Guidance
Find your vocation in life
Having spent most of my career to date in the corporate world, I can relate to the stresses and strains of today’s complex working environment. The impact on the sense of freedom, physical and mental wellbeing, work/life balance and relationships can be immense. My approach aims to enhance your sense of self-esteem and self-awareness so as to make the right career choices related to your personal values and interests.
Comfortable with your identity
As an Englishman having spent most of my working life in France and early childhood in Holland, I can relate well to the internal struggles involved in adapting to a new culture. Culture might be a component of wider issues relating to self-identity, solitude, misunderstanding, introversion, anger or depression. National culture can often create societal pressure around what is "accepted" behaviour, or not. With this backdrop, a lack of self-confidence can rapidly bring about self-doubt. Together we can work out how these themes are part of an underlying process of self-knowledge and contact with those around you.
